Oklahoma State WR McCleskey sitting rest of year and transferring

Odd, when he is the leading receiver on the team and he still isn't getting the ball enough??? 15 passes for 155 yards is pretty low for a OSU leading receiver, isn't it?

He clearly wants to be in the NFL and is not getting the highlights to draw attention he desires. Pretty selfish.

This is probably an overreaction, but has there ever been a better time for us to be on the "up swing" as a football program? Kansas is a disaster and Baylor isn't too far behind. The Vampire is losing his force. Oklahoma State is not what they were this year and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Gundy look elsewhere soon. Who knows what you get with Tech and Kliff.

I think Gundy will retire soon actually. He seems to have lost a little bit of his fire and things aren't going well in Stillwater right now. I don't see him starting over anywhere else but I'm obviously guessing/speculating.

Gundy could retire, like Snyder did at KSU, watch them struggle for 3-4 years, then be brought back to resurrect the program, like Snyder. That is his best case. Leave before the dumpster fire, and come back after things are much worse and make them better.

Interesting how this gets so quickly branded as "selfish". The NCAA is a self-serving corrupt institution built on the back of amatuer students that institutionally it doesn't really give a **** about. I don't blame a kid for trying to look out for himself at some point if he thinks he has a real shot at pro ball or something. For all we know he's tried to talk with Grundy about his future and got a bunch of coach BS as a response. Something something I'm man something something 40-years old etc.

Doesn't bother me; very small window to make your resume look as shiny as possible before the NFL draft. I usually back player mobility in these situations.

Doesn't seem very smart to me. Sitting on the bench the rest of the year is like voluntarily hiding your talents. And the pros are going to think you might have contract or other issues if you don't get your way. Just play the year out and focus on impressing the NFL scouts. Now you've cost yourself another year with no paychecks and no guarantees that the next school will get more passes your way.

So, playing devil's advocate, and sincerely hoping that never happens, you would be okay if Sunday CMC announced that DM has decided to sit out the rest of the season as a redshirt and transfer to a school that has a good offensive line and less risk of injury to him, which would effect his NFL career.

Have Butler teach him how to do cartwheel touchdowns and shed Oklahoma tacklers like children and he will get on the ESPN highlights.
