Per Jon Miller Iowa>Bucky

Saw this from a friend on FB this morning. Sorry Hawk fans when you lose by 11 because your defense can't hold a lead with 6 minutes left it's still a loss no matter how you care to spin it. I guess ISU just beat themselves when the lost by 10 to the Hawks right? You know if ISU fans posted something like that after a loss ever Hawk fan they are fans with would tell the to quit whining and making excuses.

Congrats Hawkeyes!!! Two wins tonight!!!! You beat wisc, and you beat yourselves!!!! Too bad two wins equals a fat loss.....

Remember a decade ago when hok fan was convinced Michigan and OSU were their primary rivals?
 
At some level he is right, Iowa was probably better than WI on paper. On the other hand, guys making mistakes like the TOs is part of the game. Is ISU better than Iowa if you take away the 2 12 yard punts and the guys blowing deep coverage on a couple plays? Or how about all those ISU teams that outgained Iowa by 100 and turned the ball over 3 times? You can't pick and choose what events in a game you want to keep and what you want a do over on.

There's certainly reason to be uncertain how good Wisconsin is.

I guarantee ISU would not be ranked if they had Wisconsin's exact schedule and results.

In two weeks @Michigan if they win, they can write off the home loss to BYU and maybe they deserved a little of their hype. Lose that and there's really no basis at all for them to be ranked.

They're only going to play one or two ranked teams the entire year, this @iowa game is probably the 3rd hardest on their schedule unless you count BYU at home they already lost.

How was Iowa better on paper when they were out coached, got out gained in yards and made mistakes while Wisconsin made plays? Wisconsin controlled the line of scrimmage and Iowa made a bad QB look great

Even KF can't admit that Wisconsin won the game, Iowa only lost it. That's pathetic.

Here's his quote after the game.... "Those are the ones that are tough to live with. If they beat you straight up, that's one thing.”.

What a sore loser. I wonder if he was crying too when he said that? What a whiner.

So he threw one of his players under the bus for the loss, and can't admit they lost the game.

Did CMC do that after the Iowa game to our punter Corey Dunn on handing Iowa all that great field position? NO. Because CMC has class, and he knows that a single player or single play doesn't cost you games.

Did KF also throw his OC (his little boy) under the bus for the QB sneak on 4th and 1 inside the 5 yd line that likely cost Iowa 7 pts too? Nope. Call out your players, but not your son who makes millions to call plays.

That was anybodies game, just like the Iowa VS ISU game. Iowa screwed up, just like ISU screwed up. Talent wise there is not a lot of difference between Iowa and WI. As a matter of fact, they are almost the exact same team. WI has a better OL, Iowa has a better DL. Neither of them is a great team, but they are both pretty good.

Agree to disagree. Wisconsin is quite a bit more talented IMO

Even though Wisconsin plays the boring style of football, their OL and DL are just beautiful to watch. How they get the push and create lanes. Hope one day we can have something close to that.

I will agree with you on the QB. The WI guy is okay, but way too many TOs from horrible passes. I think he threw 2 pick 6s last year against Iowa. Actually I thought was one of the best games I have seen him play.

You can say the same about ISU. I think they have a lot of talent, other than the OL, which really limits what they can do. Would love to have the second string guys from WI at ISU.
 
What is Miller talking about? A huge reason for the close score was the home crowd and a night game at Kinnick where the Hoks seem to really shine.

If these 2 teams played on a neutral field 10 times, the badgers win at least 7 of them. But ya...typical better team lost BS after an Iowa letdown.

Excuses are like ***holes, everyone has them and they stink. I don't know how you argue that you are better than a team you lost to. Yet it seems every fan base will come up with dumb *** excuses to argue just that.
