New Uniforms Revealed

I was hesitant to be the first to say I don't like that combo. Glad I'm not the only one.

WCW would be a better option, with gold accessories, even if it's only socks.

Possibly minor point, but CBA sticker would stand out more on white helmet. It can be used all season on the cardinal lid, too, obviously.

Would it have been realistically impossible to special-order gold pants that match the current design? At least compared to 11th-hour helmets and jerseys.

Big whiff by the designers on the pants. If the goal was to be able to mix and match, there's nothing on the pants that connects it to the tops unless it's black pants.

Not a fan of this combo, but whatevs
Other than the Cardinal & Gold ISU logo. Seems to be more the jersey not having any white that is the disconnect.

Some people said the same thing 18 years ago. Others loved it.

Oklahoma wears red/red/white nearly every home game without looking weird - but they use two simple colors only, no black accent, whereas we now have two colors and two accents (W/B).

So I think the legit criticism here is the lack of continuity to connect the white pants with white-free jerseys/helmets...even some cardinal on the pants would have helped. Oh well. Good enough.

Right before arriving at this thread and seeing video, I had just convinced myself they were going to surprise with Cardinal-Black-Cardinal to (a) wear black for mourning while (b) preserving the all-blacks for a bigger game...

I’d think that “realistically impossible” would cover all of the above, for a hundred players. Though I do recall something about equipment managers spray painting helmets different colors from week to week, back in the day. Not sure if they do that any more.

There are 6+ unique colors in this jersey combo. I like the new threads on their own, but once they start getting mixed at matched, they lose any sort of cohesiveness. I honestly don't think they were designed to be mixed and matched.

The design crew at ISU seems to whiff a lot or aee about 5 years behind.

Surprised not to see any gold accessories.

With the people that make these decisions, I'm not.

Thursday night game on ESPN? Cartoonado.

Saturday following a tragedy? Not hardly a smidge of what the whole crowd is being asked to wear.

Perhaps they have to submit things by a certain time or something, but it's weird that the traditional school colors aren't an option.

I think you'll see plenty of gold sleeves, socks, and arm bands.

Would've been a nice gesture and probably gotten national attention for CBA if the team came out in the gold practice jerseys. Similar to the media having a field day with Michigan basketball wearing their practice uniforms after their whole airplane debacle.Screen Shot 2018-09-21 at 4.08.37 PM.png

Exactly, they at least need some pin strips or something to help blend.
During the Iowa game I thought they just looked like yoga pants and a white shirt...
