I agree. Trying to say that selling 2999 seats in a 3000 seat stadium is greater fan support than selling 67,000 in a 69,000 seat stadium is ridiculous.
Context is always important especially when dealing with idiots who say things like this:

How about this then. Texas A&M only drew 95,000 in a 102,700 capacity stadium in week 1. So Iowa fans are better than A&M fans according to @JP4CY .

Apparently ISU will beat Iowa on any day other than the one on which they actually play. It's weird.
