Iowa Football Recruiting

It is mainly drops again this year plaguing his numbers. I think there were 6 vs NIU and I think like 4 vs ISU. He is should be about 37/51 right now for a 73% completion rate. I'm ok with that.
You do realize Iowa isn't the only team that has drops...

1. If you account for drops, damn near every QB would have gaudy numbers...
2. Perhaps the way he throws the ball has something to do with those drops...

If I was KF I would have Fant working on his run blocking more than drops.

It's funny @benjimill thought Iowa's WR's would be solid this year and they could potentially be worse than they were last year when it was decided they were the worst in all of P5 football

It's amazing that Stanley could outperformed Kempt when looking at the group of WR's each throw to. Gotta tip your hat to that guy to have that kind of drive in the 4th quarter with that group of WR.

I realize there will be drops. If your WR are dropping nearly 20% of the balls thrown, that isn't on the QB.

It's amazing that Kempt was playing his first game of the season and got hurt

Well KF has been on record saying teams improve the most from week 1 to week 2 so not sure what you're getting at

It's good in theory, but it doesn't always work out that way. Last year ISU improved the most after the Texas game so from week 4-5.

Perhaps if they are dropping nearly 20% it could be the QB...

Derp. I don't think you understand what a drop is. When you don't catch a catchable pass, that is on the receiver and then it is classified as a drop. If it was uncatchable or a tough catch, it isn't classified as a drop.

Derp indeed. You don't think high velocity passes where a touch pass is called for has anything to do with it?

How about drops where the receiver is on a tee?

Let's not forget here this is a "solid" group of WR's you're talking about

That was because the coaching staff misjudged the QB spot. Once they corrected their mistake, they got better.
