Biggest disadvantage in the CyHawk Series since 1980

Wonder if Ames High would be interested?

I get trying to get someone scheduled, but at some point you have to just call the situation what it is. Trying to schedule any non-scholarship team for a Div 1 P5 school is embarrassing and not something I would be tweeting about.

Nebraska is really their only choice as of now. A lot can change after this weekend though with this Hurricane. A lot of teams will be scrambling to find that 12th game I feel. But how many want to go on the road, how many want to pay a lot of money to have someone visit them and how many want a losable game?

If you need to beat Drake to become bowl eligible, you probably dont deserve a bowl.

If you want the experience, make it Nebraska on Dec 1. Nebraska is not going to be in any title game. If they insist on it being there do it. Go kick their ass and if they say they don't want to play you make that public too! Easy travel game to get there. As JP stated, even if this 12th game would not make bowl eligible they still want to play a 12th and get the experience so why not just do it. Reveal Nebraska to be the blow hards they are if they don't accept the challenge. Make it your bowl game if you don't have enough wins to get one.

I just find it hard to believe that both ADs immediately shot this down as even a possibility. This game makes so much sense. But I guess Pollard would rather play Drake. LOL!!

Have you been living under a rock? Nebraska is not interested in playing us and is trying to reschedule their cancelled game. Our FCS team we had scheduled won't reschedule so now we're in a bind to try to find an FCS team to replace them since unless the hurricane opens up more options this weekend.

No way should the NCAA ever allow a win against a school with no scholarships count towards bowl eligibility. This isn't the same Drake team that was on par with ISU when they beat them in the 80s when they had schollies to offer.

Again, there aren't many options. I've already said I don't want to play Drake, but keep hammering your point.
 
I'm a huge Cyclone fan, but JP says and does some of the dumbest stuff ever.... and I still think he's done an awesome job here and don't want to ever see him go.

First of all, don't even call Drake for a football game EVER! But if you're dumb enough to do that, for ****'s sake don't ever tell anyone you did. Just stupid.

And then, do NOT ever petition to get to go to a bowl game with 5 wins.... EVER! That's pathetic. Win at least 6 or don't go. I don't care if our 1st game got cancelled. Yes, that made it a lot more difficult for us to get to 6 now, and that sucks, but man up and win 6 still.... or just don't go. It's embarrassing to be in a bowl with a losing record.

JP makes himself, and ISU, look so foolish sometimes. Just makes me cringe. And don't even bring up that bugle logo he paid someone to come up with.
