I don't know about ranked but high in receiving votes. Not sure how many above have tough games. Before the first game, I was more comfortable. Not getting reps in puts me in the Iowa has an advantage now. I personally believe that the first game lets you know if someone is not ready or if there are glaring issues that were covered in practice due to familiarity. Not making an excuse, you have to play the hand you are dealt; but I really wish we could have at least gotten a good half in and I would have felt way better. Or way worse if we would have stunk up the joint.

I could see that, if Iowa missed it's first game I'd be similarly concerned.

To be fair, Wegher was pretty damn good, just had some personal issues that forced him to leave the University.

IKM had three runs called back on questionable/irrelevant penalties against NIU- would have had a monster performance if those had been correctly officiated.

I would say there was one holding penalty that did not impact the play and then the cut block didn't affect the play either. But I think the holding calls were definitely holding. The cut block one was iffy though. Didn't look like it should have been called. I think if you just take the cut block off the board he would have had 40 more yards.

I think ISU's backs after Montgomery are solid.

I think Croney has looked really good in limited action. Thought they should have gone to him more in the KSU game.

That not paying hospital construction bills does torque me off. This is tax payer money being thrown around. Iowa already receives a higher per student appropriation from the state than ISU or UNI and they are still stiffing private businesses. Claiming financial hardship but have a 150MM painting sitting there that would settle the score with everybody. Sell that stinking painting and pay the bills.

Being self employed those things bother me, end my rant now.

I’d say those folks would rather beat Nebraska. Personally, I haven’t been able to generate any hate for Nebraska, just disdain.
