You said better stats = better players. Iowa rushed for 139 YPG, ISU for 113 YPG last year. Iowa rushed for over 200 yards in their first game, and they will be better this year than last year rushing
So according to you Iowa RB > ISU RB
Montgomery will have better stats than any Iowa RB this year if you want to go with that flawed route
You said the stats tell the story. ISU was 117 out of 130 teams rushing the ball last year. So 116 teams RB > ISU RB.
Being intellectually dishonest like you is pretty easy.
The Iowa system works to an extent offensively bc it lives in 1990 and hasnt changed much.. Not a lot of teams use a couple TE’s as their main pass catchers and run offense under center..some do but not a lot. Defenses just dont see it that much and arent built for it normally.
I think ISU runs a 3-3-5 until they cant..meaning if Iowa is gashing ISU in the running game early and takes a couple TD lead might see them switch to a 4-3...but im guessing we run 3-3-5 and protect the middle of the field with 7+ defenders mixing up where the pressure comes from.
