Your own starters are calling it the Super Bowl. So you think Iowa is going to win that big even with it being Iowa State’s Super Bowl? Must be a crazy coaching difference in KF’s favor!
I have NEVER seen the Hok trolls so fired up before the Cy-Hawk game. I think they are really feeling threatened by CMC/ISU.
They wanted Toren Young to be the first and second down back because he is a bigger back, but IKM was able to prove that he could run between the tackles well enough to be an every down back. Was able to add some weight over the summer and is up to around 200 lbs now.
What weight was he going into fall camp? Sorry for all the questions I'm just confused if this guy is so good why he would be the backup to some average situational RB
Obviously the staff doesn’t feel like Young and Sargent are average, situational RBs.

About the only surprising remark here Tuesday was Cyclones starting offensive guard Josh Knipfel of Hampton twice calling the game “the Super Bowl of the state.”
I think it’s a difference in philosophy. Obviously I would prefer a David Montgomery type back that can run between the tackles and make people miss in the open field, but absent that, I would prefer an Akrum Wadley/Tyler Goodson type back. The Iowa staff prefers a LeShun Daniels/Marcus Coker/Toren Young type back.
