Ferentz's Emphasis on the ISU Game

Any advertisement sucks. Who has ever (and will admit it) bought anything based on what they saw at a stadium? I can say I never have. Who is it that makes that sort of decision?

I'm sure I have at baseball games.

The opposite actually. Brandon Snyder got arrested for being more than double the legal limit and wasn't going to have to miss playing time for it

The Reiff thing is stupid and the only reason he got suspended is because it became national news

A couple of things in this article that don't fit your narrative...

“There’s a lot of things that go into it besides the game,” Campbell said. “It’d be naïve to say it’s just an entire game situation.”

Going off this, CMC would think the Snyder bowl game suspension would be adequate punishment.

I also see when CMC suspends a player, they get the luxury of watching the game in the stands. When KF suspends a player, they spend Friday and Saturday performing community service. Doesn't really fit your narrative that CMC is tougher on players than KF is.

Comparing a guy on crutches to healthy players is a bold strategy

I didn't. Just letting you know that “There’s a lot of things that go into [a suspension] besides the game,” and. “It’d be naïve to say it’s just an entire game situation.”

He's talking about players that are actually medically cleared to play

We already know that Campbell doesn't actually suspend anyone. That decision is apparently left up to Pollard.

I hate TV/Cable companies in general after weekends like this past one. UNI was on digital channel 9.2 or something, so viewable on basic TV.

ISU? Gotta pay and have interwebs or good cell service.

And I think Iowa was on B1G-1 or something, so if their fans only had the main BTN, they couldn't have watched it.

I'm sure if you were to write a $40mil check every year, you could have some sway of whether ISU games were available OTA. Otherwise, there's a reason that UNIs athletic budget is much smaller than ISU and Iowa.

So Ferentz makes them skip Friday classes to perform community service? Seems like an odd choice of priorities.

They do community service in the evenings Friday for four hours while the team is in meetings and at the hotel. They do community service for eight hours Saturday when it would be game activities. Discussed at today’s press conference.

Nice try though.

Is that court appointed community service or coach appointed?

Just getting them started on what they will be throughout their criminal lives. Most of the Iowa football team is destined to serve community service, which they won’t mind because it gets them out of their trailers once in awhile. And they can say they “earned” their welfare check.

I guess the meth heads that Iowa has on their team is better than the pedophiles and rapists on the ISU team.

Wait, I have no proof? Well I thought that was the point of your reply.

Wow. So you admit you have a team full of meth heads and then make some lame, totally false claims about our players? That’s low class bro. Nothing but high quality kids on our team.

As far as I can recall, I have not lied about a single thing in any post I have ever made."

"32” is so incredibly high so as to be unbelievable. That’s really not that high."
as others have all ready done calling bull on your standing vertical,as that would be the top of Ankeny's all time bests in that measurement. I was hitting 27.5" as a 2 sport athlete during summer strength and conditioning. Our top 10 was 28"-33". If your so much of a freak athlete what sports did you play in?

Good lord, you’re an idiot. Grow up.

I wouldn’t consider 32 inches “freak athlete” status, but I played college basketball (only DIII, so I use that phrase lightly) and was the best all-around athlete on the team. I don’t think it’s very surprising that an upperclassman college athlete would have a better vertical jump than a bunch of 17 and 18 year old kids. I’m not sure why you care so much to bring this up days/weeks after the fact, though.
