Ferentz's Emphasis on the ISU Game

Did they really put the Mid-American Energy logo on the field?

Not sure if it was the logo since I don't know what it officially is. It did say Mid American Energy at about the 25 yard line way towards the visitors sideline on the south side

Here they come, the Iowa piss and moaners. Buy some merch and season tickets, then maybe we will give a slight **** about what you say.

FWIW, I think not suspending them for the Iowa game is the right decision, but you have to admit the Clone warriors would have been out in force if the tables were reversed. If the game is rescheduled, do they sit that one?

I would lean to suspending them if they make the game up. They are only getting to play in 11 games at this point. Can't help what weather does.

Agreed it wouldn't be any different than the Hawk fans whining about it.

Honestly, if I paid 1.5 mil for that, I'd be very underwhelmed. I couldn't see it any other place and it was not a color that would pop out. I think we could put another 4-5 sponsors like that on the field and you would still barely notice and get another 5-10 mil out of it. Who cares if the announcers take 2 minutes to rattle off the name. Everyone will still say Jack Trice anyhow.

Understood. In a heated rivalry like this, you know you’re going to take crap for a decision like this. Again, I think it was the right decision, but fans are going to fan. I’m glad Pollard made the decision and took the heat off Campbell. Good leadership.

No chance and I wouldn't even troll it if it was reversed. They were always expected to be back the second game of the year

I think Iowa wins this one pretty big. Teams improve the most from week one to week two. Really unfortunate last night

Wow. Alaric Jackson gets his second strike and KF is making sure he's back for the ISU game. And Iowa fans wonder why we say it's your Super Bowl

We will have to agree to disagree. There were a number of posts on here after Kinnick flooded wondering if the Iowa players would be suspended for the ISU game if their first game was cancelled. The comments were rather telling. I have to believe, based on posting history, we would see something along the lines of Iowa players being suspended for missing no games.

Iowa was seriously facing the possibility of having to cancel their game yesterday when their field fell apart a few days before, and ISU fans were indeed poking fun that if it would have been cancelled KF would count that as the players suspension.

Now that the reverse actually happened, ISU fans think yesterday's game should count for ISU's players suspension.

Both teams and their fans would do the same thing in this situation, and everyone knows it.
