I'll be in St Paul tomorrow night during the Iowa State/SDSU game. With the game being on cyclones.tv, is anyone aware of a Cyclone bar in the St Paul/Minneapolis area that would be carrying it?

I'm just gonna buy the 24-hour game pass on Cyclones.TV and watch it at our place in St. Paul. You're welcome to join! I'll tell you the street it is on and you have to find us.:)

Last time I went to a "game watch" there the game was on a few TVs without sound but so were a dozen other games while it was mostly non-ISU families eating lunch. there was nothing special relating to ISU or Cyclone fans.

I've been to several game watches in the twin cities because my wife is from the area. I've had a good time at them. The large alumni base in the twin cities is great!

Way to be an ass about it. The fact you used to live here a long time ago doesn't make you an authority on the Twin Cities. Hell, I've lived here since before you were born. You aren't going to even be there so STFU you annoying little twit..

Whoa, calm down. I gave my experience, sorry it wasn't good enough for you. If other people go and experience something different that's good for them. It also doesn't change my experience.

No need to throw personal insults.

This was last winter, btw.

Last winter for a football game? We stopped having game watches at Sensers after the Iowa football game in September and switched to Darby’s.

May explain why you didn’t enjoy the game watch there, because there probably wasn’t a game watch happening there.

Basketball

Yep. No basketball watches at Sensors at all last year. Any we had were at Darby’s. Last basketball game watch we had at Sensors I think was the Purdue tournament game.

Doing the SDSU game at Sensors because Darby’s is closed for the holiday, but Darby’s typically goes out of their way for us. Cyclone specials, open early for 11am kickoffs, we have two ISU flags hanging from their ceiling, etc.

Senser's in Bloomington could almost always get the Cyclone games, however many of the Minnesotans back in the days before Nebby went to the B1G, confused Iowa State fans and Nebraska fans.

Senser's used to have a place in Eagan at 35E and Lone Oak Road. The physical location is now called Lone Oak Grill. When it was Senser's I had equal luck finding Cyclone games there. Not sure how things will be under the banner of a new restaurant.

I've been using (but can't quite recommend) the Tunity App to get sound on a particular television broadcast. I used to be able to fine tune the sound to match the picture, but they 'updated' the app, and now it is often 6 to 10 second ahead of the picture on the local TV. Their app only allows for a little over 3 seconds of adjustment (at least on my phone).

What's up with BoxsterCy? That was ridiculous. Talk about being an A.

Some places have speakers available. I know I’ve used them at Sensors, for example, where it’s a Bluetooth speaker they can provide you that allows you to tune in to the sound of the channel you’re watching.

IDK if it's a registered "ISU Game Watch" bar, but Uptown Tavern in Uptown always has the ISU games on and it is almost always filled with ISU fans.

You know, we tried to get Uptown Tavern to do official game watches, especially after how awesome it was a few years ago when we won the Big 12 tourney (plus, I could walk there from where I live) but they haven’t been exactly open to the idea. Probably because they’re not an actual sports bar, and it really digs in to their potential business blocking off a section of the bar, especially in an evening or night game, because they’re always crazy busy at that time.

That is interesting. Every game I went to there last year, I woulda sworn it was a Watch Party. Can't imagine what random people looking for a drink and bite think haha

I wonder if they will download Cyclone TV for the game tomorrow. I would throw them the $10 for the pass hahaha! Never been. Looks cool from the website. Well have around 10 of us.
