Kinnick north end zone renovation

Yikes

Still have the stubby goalposts I see...

I like the ribbon board. That makes a nice atmosphere. Really like that at Jack Trice, I think that will go over well. Wonder if there is a rule or something with it being directly behind the goal posts where they can't do a strobe effect during field goals or something.

I think kickers mostly keep their head down once they get into position.

Think Iowa will ever do the South?

Probably not for a while. The south was redone in 2006. Wish they would have done the south with the way this north one looks. Probably in due time, but I wouldn't expect anything for another 7 years or so.

Yeah, I mean to be honest they wouldn't necessarily need the same street facade but the stands could almost be a mirror.

Who knows, I'd think they'd do something but it's harder on that side without messing with the scoreboard, South concourse where Kinnick statue is, etc.

There isn't anything wrong with the south as it stands today, so no hurry imo. Will have to see how people take to the new north part with all the added amenities before making any decisions.

I agree, dropping the capacity even more seems like the smart thing to do at this point.

To me, its just a far, low slope. A little similar to Nebraska but not attached. And it seems like their end zone seats go on forever.
