Ferentz's Emphasis on the ISU Game

You have to be trolling, because I don’t think you are this stupid. If a player isn’t in good shape, they will get tired more easily. Players are not as effective when they are tired. It’s not a difficult concept to understand.
So Fran is recruiting elite offensive players who are out of shape, that can't play defense, in a defense orientated conference?

I don’t think anyone expected Garza to be as good as he was offensively his first year. But yes, Fran has been trying to play a different style of basketball than most teams in the Big Ten play by playing uptempo basketball and prioritizing offense over defense. How is that different from what CMC is trying to do with Iowa State’s football program (prioritizing defense in an offensive league)?

And that looks to be going really, really well.

Garza’s conditioning wasn’t good enough to play more than 20-25 minutes at peak efficiency. I don’t know why that is so hard for you to understand.
Was it his conditioning that made him look as if his feet were stuck iin fresh cement whenever he would TRY to start running?

Fran is the only coach in the Bone G trying to play uptempo? Do you watch basketball?

No, I don’t think anyone would dispute that Garza is a pretty poor athlete. Doesn’t mean he can’t be effective. For example, Nikola Jokic is one of the best offensive centers in the NBA and he is a horrible athlete (by NBA standards).

It was going alright up until last season.
