Ferentz's Emphasis on the ISU Game

So you think ISM and Easley were good last year?

Easley was fine. ISM was incredibly inconsistent, and hit a bit of a rookie wall during conference play, but showed flashes. Why is it so outlandish to expect improvement out of a pair of true freshman WRs who are stud athletes (Smith and ISM)?

Iowa fans have been telling me for years you guys have one of the worst WR corps in the entire country so to think this year will be better is incredibly optimistic IMOI

It's not outlandish at all, but I think that comment can go both ways. Whenever anything is mentioned about ISU players improving it's usually mocked.

It is incredibly optimistic to think that two true freshmen will improve from last year? Lol, ok pal.

It will be Iowa’s Super Bowl when our coach has a countdown clock to the iSu game. I just don’t see KF going the route of CMC.

How many responses do you have in your playbook? Four? Five? Try to get some original material.

At the WR position for Iowa? The same position you have constantly blamed for all of your offensive problems for years? Absolutely

Can't wait to hear your take on this @benjimill

Ive already stated it before. Iowa was 42nd in opponent-adjusted offensive efficiency, top 60ish in points per play, etc. Iowa’s offense wasn’t great last year, but using total offense to judge an offense’s effectiveness is lol-worthy.

Last year Iowa had a good OL, great QB, great RB, elite TEs and two solid/proven WR's and you still weren't good offensively even going by cherry picked stats? Yikes Brian

Forgot, Iowa actually had 3 solid/proven WR's last year in ISM, Vandeberg and Easley according to Iowa fans. Plus a good OL, great QB, great RB and elite TE. How did Brian screw all that up so much?
