Ferentz's Emphasis on the ISU Game

Still contributing nothing to cyclone fanatic? Great post.
Contribute to a site that bashes and ridicules all thing Hawkeye? If what you do is called contributing then no thanks. Anytime something objective is posted, then it’s immediately ripped apart by the jihadist faction on here. I’m here to shake my head at this stuff. Pure entertainment value for free. Obsession for the Hawkeyes here is off the charts. Carry on

I agree with a lot of what you said, but we're in their house. It's discouraging, because there are good posters here who want to have a conversation, and it seems every time one gets going, somebody (from either side) snipes from the hills and derails everything.

Dude, you’ve hit disagree numerous times on something as simple as a link.
I think you’re obsessed and just don’t want to post dumb material.

So do you think my take on this Hawk season is ridiculing Iowa and not being objective?
Here's what I would expect if I was an Iowa fan:

Northern IL win
ISU split (probably 60% sure on a W)
UNI win
Wisconsin loss (20-30% chance of a W)
Minnesota split
Indiana win
Maryland win
PSU loss (very small chance of a W)
Purdue split
NW split (probably 60% sure on a W)
IL win
N win

I don't think the 2 losses are unreasonable. I don't think splitting ISU, MN, Purdue, and NW is unreasonable.

I think we should all take a moment and put derpy on ignore. It actually made reading the thread a lot funnier reading reactions to him not knowing what he said. Although, I could tell he was using the same worn out material.

Did CyTwins really get the hammer?

Dude, you discovered my secret. I have the three musketeers - Benji, Derpy, YerBuddy, on ignore. I enjoy reading the thread without them trying to imagine what they said.

Actually, it makes sense and reads well if you assume it is one of 3 things:

"Link?"
"Man, you are really obsessed with Hoks, that is so sad."
"I never said that."

That right there is a complete summary of what they contribute to this conversation.

My favorite was when Bill Fennelly came up out of left field. That was definitely a "wait--what?" moment

The obsession with Iowa is the first requirement to being a real cyclone.

I am truly honored that I have earned a hallowed place with such a fine cyclone fan. Clealry my portrayal of the iSu fan base is so accurate that some refuse to read it any more. It is simply to painful for them to admit. No bigger compliment can be paid to me so I will strive for others.

Not only are you wrong, but it's highly likely that you are insane too.

Delusion of Grandeur
By John M. Grohol, Psy.D.

delusion-of-grandeur.jpg
A delusion of grandeur is the fixed, false belief that one possesses superior qualities such as genius, fame, omnipotence, or wealth. It is most often a symptom of schizophrenia, but can also be a symptom found in psychotic or bipolar disorders, as well as dementia (such as Alzheimer’s).

People with a delusion of grandeur often have the conviction of having some great but unrecognized talent or insight. They may also believe they have made some important discovery that others don’t understand or appreciate.

Less commonly, the individual may have the delusion of having a special relationship with a prominent person (such as being an adviser to the President). Or the person may believe that actually are a very prominent and important person, in which case the actual person may be regarded as an imposter.

Grandiose delusions may have religious content, such as the person believes he or she has received a special message from God or another deity.

Sometimes, in popular language, this disorder may be known as “megalomania,” but is more accurately referred to as narcissistic personality disorder if it is a core component of a person’s personality and identity. In such disorders, the person has a greatly out-of-proportion sense of their own worth and value in the world. People with this issue can also sometimes have a taste for the finer, more extravagant things in life.

Sometimes drug use or abuse can intensify or bring on episodes of delusion of grandeur. People who take phencyclidine (PCP) or amphetamines are especially at risk. People who are high and experience a delusion of grandeur may be at increased risk for physically harmful behavior. For instance, if you believe you are capable of flying after taking PCP, and try to jump off a 10-story building based upon that false belief, you may be at serious risk of death.

Example: A woman believes she has been selected by a deity for eventual elevation to divine status; she goes around blessing people.

It's astonishing how little you bring to the table and how convinced you are that you're making some sort of point. I'll line up with "iSu" fans to throw stones at you.

(The 'show ignored content' feature is pretty handy, I must say)

Wait, what? Should be be putting Iowa on a pedestal or something? Go back to your hole.
