Iowa fans are just as obsessed with Iowa State as iowa State fans are with Iowa. That’s what happens with in state rivalries especially each other’s biggest rival. Keep on derpin’ on, derpy.
When you have elite offenses & QB’s that, minimally, have a pulse & can throw effectively, defenses tend to be more challenged & there is more parity.
Iowa fans create the obsession themselves. Hawks who constantly feel the need to belittle any accomplishments ISU has, especially by coming onto the ISU fan site, (and done countless times in person in my lifetime) have created a passionate disdain for your type. Want us to not care to beat you or outdo you in things - stop being such an a**.
And to answer your question from pages ago as to why there aren't any other sites with boards devoted to Iowa, or In-State Rivals as its labeled here, it's because no one outside of the state of Iowa gives a sh*t about Iowa. We only care because you are that pestering gnat in our ear. You are here to annoy and have very little benefit to provide anyone.
Since Droopy Diaper Cy uses the form of "obsession" so much, and a que word for Buddy, he has got to be Yeahbuddy. Just waiting until he crosses the line.......
