Yep...I don't think folks understand just how putrid KSU was....
Saban is the greatest college football coach ever and one of the greatest coaches in any sport ever. I love Snyder and he is up there but he isn't on Saban's level.
I don't know, put Snyder into a recruit rich area like Saban, with a budget like Saban getting those same recruits and I'd be hard pressed to pick which one I'd want.
Could Saban have done what Snyder did with KSU? I'm not sure....
Saban recruits elite talent....he wouldn't have gotten near the talent to KSU. Hard to judge how he'd have done....
Snyder is an absolute world champion at doing more with less. His entire career was predicated on that skill.
They were so bad I'm pretty sure ISU would try to schedule them for homecoming.
Saban is definitely great, but Snyder is a better coach.
If Snyder was at a bigger name SEC school (no Vanderbilt or kentucky), the teams in the conference would be looking to leave since he would have won the title 15 years in a row.
Don't forget the bagmen who help out SEC schools. I'd be surprised if KSU has bagmen.
Fail, Saban coached at MSU, LSU, and Bama. All winning programs. Saban is great but what Snyder has done at KSU is unprecedented. KSU is worse than ISU in history. I hate the guy but I cant argue with what he has done.
Iowa's lows are not as low, and they've had just as high of highs. Id say in my lifetime, iowa is the better program.
Huh? Uhm..Kstate has won 10+ games (9) times over the past 20 years.....(9). They also have had only (1) season with 4 or fewer wins...(1).
I can cherry-pick stats and timeframes the other way, too...
In the last 14 years, KState has won 10+ games only twice, and has finished with a losing record 5 times.
In the last 14 years, Iowa has won 10+ games three times, and has finished with a losing record only 2 times.
Kansas State was a great program in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, but Iowa has been better over the last decade and a half.
