All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Coach Kilmer thought the Iowa DBs needed some extra work, so he sent to ISU's practice. As you can tell it didn't turn out to well.

Did anyone catch the E60 yesterday morning the featured Christian McCaffrey? It was a great piece. They reviewed his second place finish in the Heisman. He said "I have losing. The only thing I knew was I had bowl game to take my anger out." That was the infamous "farmers only scandal" bowl game.

This is not a taunt to our feathered friends out east. It is more of a commentary on how he dominated the game from the very first play from the los. He shredded the field that day.

It appears Iowa's Super Bowl is picking up steam outside of just the state of Iowa

In 2017, the junior led the Hawkeyes to their first bowl victory since 2010. His solid touchdown-to-interception ratio (26-6) exemplified Iowa’s typical Kirk Ferentz philosophy of minimizing mistakes. Stanley’s overall numbers in 2017 were not spectacular (55.8 percent completion rate, 2,432 yards) but he saved his best efforts for the biggest games: A season-high 333 yards and five touchdown passes against Iowa State

'Twas a great game for sure.

Definitely some good games in the series the last couple decades.
It really has been.
TBH, it may have taken Mac being an ex Hawk to do that. I feel like the same can hopefully be said for wrestling too.

Only these States have teams in different Power conferences:
Texas
Florida
Georgia
South Carolina
Kentucky
Indiana (Notre Dame counts I guess)
Pennsylvania

Texas, Indiana, and PA teams used to/haven’t/aren’t this year playing so it’s a unique matchup, that’s for sure.

I've always said that the state of Iowa would have been far better off with only one P5 school in the state for sports purposes.

How would the “State of Iowa” be better off by having less National exposure?
What a weird comment.

From a sports perspective. One team would mean more money pooling into that team that would then have more resources. Bet there would be a 90,000 seat stadium.
Don’t buy it. Nearby states with 1 power school like Colorado, Missouri don’t have more success.
You know 90,000 is less than 130,000 combined now?

But states like Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin do. Colorado has won a national championship in our lifetime too.
