And then we can call ourselves Big Time/Not Big Time!
Well, frankly, ISU winning 10 games in a single season will likely never happen so your post is moot.

I know, one of us plays in the conference that is projected to be 2nd toughest and the other plays in the conference that is projected to be 5th toughest.
Yeah, but what does that matter when you avoid 3 out of the best 4 conference opponents?I know, one of us plays in the conference that is projected to be 2nd toughest and the other plays in the conference that is projected to be 5th toughest.

Thankfully the scheduling gods shined down on Iowa after the gauntlet we ran last season. Its fun hammering one of the big boys 55-24 but I dont want to play a Top 5 schedule every season.
So then why did you waste a 5% post on it?Well, frankly, ISU winning 10 games in a single season will likely never happen so your post is moot.
Well it deals with Iowa State and the B12 so why wouldn't he post it?You were pretty anti moral victory and now you're puffing your chest out about projected conference finish by some guy on twitter? Bravo.
Sigh.Thankfully the scheduling gods shined down on Iowa after the gauntlet we ran last season. Its fun hammering one of the big boys 55-24 but I dont want to play a Top 5 schedule every season.
That mindset of a non big time program.Thankfully the scheduling gods shined down on Iowa after the gauntlet we ran last season. Its fun hammering one of the big boys 55-24 but I dont want to play a Top 5 schedule every season.

We can start there, lulz.
Not necessarily. You can have a TE block for a RB that catches a lot of passes. And with how good of hands David Montgomery has its kind of a good idea.So let's start there. So far I've posted an Athlon link stating as much and a few others must think enough of him for him to be named 1st team All American.
I get that there is a difference in philosophy when it comes to the TE position, but you play in a pass-happy conference. Wouldn't it be to your benefit for the defense to have to account for 5 players as a receiving threat instead of 4? (One being an All American)
Sorry for the late response. Not the biggest priority, but I'll check in when I have some down time.

You have had a top 5 schedule once in like the past 20 years. Stop acting like you play one all the time.Thankfully the scheduling gods shined down on Iowa after the gauntlet we ran last season. Its fun hammering one of the big boys 55-24 but I dont want to play a Top 5 schedule every season.
That was my point. You were asking about him making it to the NFL, not college systems. On the other hand, I think it would be beneficial to have a TE drag a defender out of the play having to cover a route to give Montgomery a little more room to work with.
At any rate, it all comes back to differing philosophies. You feel your guy works better in your system, I like our guy in ours. No harm, no foul.
After the 2010 game, Iowa will have only played Ohio State once at Kinnick at least until 2022.You have had a top 5 schedule once in like the past 20 years. Stop acting like you play one all the time.
