Iowa Football Recruiting

Who took his spot? He wasn't going to lose his offer until someone took his spot you made that clear

The staffs interest in Belton took his spot.

Let this be a lesson to kids like Larry, he had a chance to join a program that churns out DB's to the NFL and wanted to walk away from it. Now, he will be stuck in Bloomington playing his college ball.

I'm very calm I'm just confused. Brian made it clear that's not how they recruit and it's appearing he lied and we all know he's a stand up guy so I'm not sure how that could be true

What part did he lie about? He never said decommits will always have a spot if they want to come back.

But Brian said that's not how they recruit. That's how ISU and Minnesota recruits but Iowa doesn't do things that way

You said that. You actually said Iowa recruits have an offer until someone else commits and takes their spot. IIRC that's what Brian said on the radio too because I'm assuming you didn't just make that up

Actually I think he said something along the lies of "if you commit to us, you will have a scholarship at the University of Iowa."

Why on Earth would you think a kid that decommits gets his spot held until he makes up his mind again?

Well that's a lie in the first place but that's not what he said. He was talking about ISU throwing out early offers in state and if they were committable or not

Well this is awkward

Probably the leader at this point. Recommits are rare but we have a real chance here. The family loves Iowa and his older cousin is part of Iowa's 2018 class.

Really respect the maturity Larry has shown to this point. He understood KF's policy and decommitted so he could look around a bit and not lose his offer.

Well this is awkward

He didnt lose his offer until the staff moved on from him just like they would with anybody else that hasnt verballed. If he would have taken visits while still being committed, his offer would have been pulled on the spot.

This isnt complicated. I have never seen a fan of another team be so obsessed with recruits that their school isnt even in contention for.

DJ Carton first and now this whole odd Larry Tracy faux outrage. This is very strange.
