Is Fran building a regional powerhouse or just calling Iowa fans idiots and morons?

I don't think many, if any said he was unathletic on here but go ahead and roll with it to make yourself feel better about his wingspan and weight

The wingspan was a surprise to me, the weight was not.

I would seriously consider redshirting Patrick if I were Fran. He needs to really work on adding muscle and weight.

That's a huge deal IMO, I'm sure you disagree but that would be majorly concerning if I were an Iowa fan

A huge deal? Not really. Its not ideal but not majorly concerning. You are kind of dramatic.

He is 177 lbs at age 18 and only has a 6'6 wingspan. When you consider his weight and he has zero length to make up for it that's a big problem defensively

The wingspan is really only a major deal if you are talking about NBA prospect. He can play just fine in NCAA with short wingspan. The more worrying thing is his weight/muscle mass at 6'8.
Thats not going to happen.

He is going to be 19 when he starts classes at Iowa.

Who cares how old he is? Can you imagine what would happen to him in the paint in the Big Ten at 6'8 177 pounds?. Especially against a team like MSU?

The age thing is relevant as in he will basically be fully developed when he hits Iowa. Many kids will add their last natural weight and muscle mass around 16-18 years of age. So instead of just nature doing it, he will have to do it in the weight room.

Why does it matter if he plays at 180 lbs as a true freshman or 182 lbs as a redshirt freshman? It's going to be a struggle for him his whole career
