Iowa -7 vs ISU

Watched the highlights of last years game last night. What a great game...one of the better games in college football last year. Back and forth...overtime. We've had some great games in this series....the 2 overtime game you guys won a few years back....

Anyway, talk of ending the series is just silly...an under rated rivalry in CFB IMO.

I agree, ISU being good is great for this series. National exposure will be there. It will get a college game day experience in Ames or IC sometime soon. Which would be awesome to showcase to the rest of America.

Rural, how in the world do you not think ISU being better and improving is good for the series and better national exposure?

It really was an interesting game. When Iowa went up 21-10 I thought we were going to pull away and win handily. Then when ISU went up 31-21 I thought it was over and they would win like 38-21. Crazy game of ebbs and flows. That’s football though.

It is silly. It's a great rivalry that the entire state gets excited for.

It was a night game 2 years ago. I would bet that there is about a 2% chance it is an 11 AM kick.

Went two years ago and said I'll never go back. Too many obnoxious drunk fans. Before you think I'm trying to pick a fight I wouldn't go to ISU student lots as an Iowa fan for a night game either but in Ames it's easy to avoid the obnoxiousness where it's everywhere in Iowa City

Interesting, I recall reading a thread on here shortly after the 2016 game and pretty much everyone was complimentary towards how Iowa fans acted, IIRC.
