half of my dads side of the family went to Kansas and they hate Iowa State more than K State. I'm not saying that is everyone, but there is a strong disdain for Iowa State because of the ability we have had to essentially split our meetings with them over the past 5 years or so.
Kansas fans get the most worked up on twitter when debating with Iowa State fans, from what I can tell. We will never be a Mizzou-type rival to them, but in basketball they circle our games.
It is really that deep of hate? why? why cant both school promote farming? how is it not easy to make fun of ISU coaches and their slogans and sayings over the years? Big 10 is far from completely overrated on the national landscape. And no, not all hawkeye fans went to the school. I didnt, but I could have. I chose to root for them growing up. I still do. Also, my wife did not go to ISU, but she is an ISU fan. On the National level, Iowa is in fact recognized. And what is wrong with that? For years I have heard ISU fans argue about being a real fan because I went there? If that was the case, no one would root for ISU outside of the state of Iowa ever. IS that waht you want?

In the initial post you were mocking him for being too inexperienced for Iowa......
Everyone is KU's rival in that respect. I know some KU fans that say ISU is their most hated team due to the (relatively speaking) success ISU has had vs KU. Due to 3 out of 4 conference tourney titles, breaking their home win streak, etc.
But in terms of the undisputed #1 rival, anyone that says its not ISU vs Iowa from either side is flat out lying, whether they realize their lie or not.

I like the one play where he travels twice and I like how he doesn't seem to have a jump shot.
I live in Kansas City so I'm surrounded by KU fans. My younger brother went to KU for his undergrad. Trust me, KU absolutely hates Iowa State and in basketball for sure they are worried about us more than anyone else in the Big 12.
Outside shot that he moves out. Always depends on who explodes during the summer months, but he's trending in the wrong direction for sure.
