Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

Hoiberg missed on a ton of HS recruits. If Prohm would have offered Moss that would have carried more weight since Prohm is a terrific HS recruiter but Prohm would have never reached on a mid major guy like Moss

So Hoiberg offered Moss and he went to Iowa instead of ISU

Oh someone was talking about Massey too so I didn't know where he was at on that. 2 top 10 finishes in his career in Sagarin but you guys still want to use that over the AP. Weird

But we cant use Sagarin because it is only used for unranked teams.

And his schedule has been consistently easier since the addition of N, Rutgers, and Maryland.

Iowa's average SOS according to Sagarin from 2000- 2010= 38.45

Iowa's average SOS according to Sagarin from 2011- 2017= 38.71

Hoiberg was an elite Transfer recruiter. Nobody will deny that. Prohm is a better HS recruiter though

Hoiberg was best coach in the state since Tom Davis/ Floyd/Eustachy. He was probably better than those guys.

Prohm had the cream of the Hoiberg transfer recruits his first 2 years. As they left, His results have gone down.

Prohm might be a great HS recruiter, but it remains to be seen what he can do with his own guys. He was gifted a final 4 roster when he came to Ames. No other place has an opportunity like that.

It is well established where ISU fans sit with Fran, heck most Iowa fans are right there with ya. The different is we want Iowa to be successful and you guys want Iowa to fall off the cliff again. Iowa is teetering on that edge and you guys love it. Iowa fans feel there is some hope that it can get turned around but next year is a big year. A lot has to go right.

Now ensues the Iowa sucks, mid major roster, Fran is terrible response because it is hard to argue anything I just said.
