Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

If I was CyTwins, I would:

1. Sell minivan and refinance Carroll home.
2. Use money to buy CyTwins.com domain and set up a ISR forum.
3. Charge $100/year to join.
4. Create podcasts, call-in show, and a live camera streaming option.
5. Watch the boatloads of obsessed Hok money come in.
6. Profit.

He was in the ~ 95th percentile of all Division I basketball players in offensive rating. If that is not elite, what is? 98th percentile? 99th? I’m sorry that you think Garza sucks because he is uncoordinated, goofy looking, and plays for Iowa, but the advanced stats are on my side, not yours.

Yet when advanced metrics do not support your beliefs, they are written off as "made up."

Wait, are you a shoddily programmed UofI spam/troll bot?!?!

The whole team besides Tyler cook are not mid major. Garza Moss kriener and now Weiskamp and Fredrick. All had good offers outside of iowa. The others you could say were fall back.

Yup, Garza had a better offer list than any Iowa State recruit in the last five years other than Wigginton and maaaaybe THT. Similarly, Wieskamp would be Iowa State’s third most highly rated recruit in the last five years. That doesn’t fit the Iowa State fan narrative though, so they choose to ignore them.
