Good post. I have seen the predictions settle down a bit the today. Last week it was I was delusional to think ISU could be a bubble team. Now I said they are a lock and all ISU fans can say is wait, they are not a lock but they should be.....I predicted last week that Iowa will more than likely not make the dance but should improve. All you have done with this post is say what what I have been echoing all along. But ISU fans hate that I say it a certain way I guess.

Yeah ISU has really struggled to beat KU at Hilton South. Fran has never won a P5 conference tourney or made it to the second weekend in the tourney in his career and he's 60! Prohm did that in 3 years!

He did all of that without his players. Now is his time to shine.

No I am stuck with Fran because of a number of things. But Weber would not be a better option at this point. I do not think Fran is a great coach, but he doesnt suck like ISU thinks he does. But that is my opinion.

To be more direct, If he misses the tournament but still shows improvements with a winning season I would be ok with him staying 1 more year. And if he misses on Carton he needs to bring in another talented PG. Locure is talented in the aspect that he is more athletic than any guy we have. And he plays good defense.

Locure could turn out to be a nice player, but I think you woukd agree there's a massive drop off between Carton and Locure. I really like Locure, tough player, plays hard on both ends, but I don't see him being more than a good role player on a good P5 team.

I can agree with this. He does have some upside. But he is better than most of the alternatives if Iowa misses on Carton and Terry

That's actually been the complaint that I've seen about him....doesn't play hard.
