I was considering doing an AirBnB along one of the towns that has the metra and taking that in to the city.

I mentioned that I was hoping to go and a coworker scoffed and said that it was for high schoolers. Im a year graduated from college now so im not old by any means. I assumed she doesn't know what she's talking about.

I was in my late 20's when I went and didn't feel like 'the old guy'. I saw Tool, for god's sakes and Beastie Boys were supposed to be there but Adam was sick.

I used to work for a big music chain, and met Buckcherry at a festival I had to work at. It's not really my style of music, but they were legitimately some of the nicest guys I've ever met.

I see Hop Along is coming to Wooly’s too...
They were at 80-35 last year, pretty great different sounding indie rock....

Saw Jack White, David Byrne, the War on Drugs, Nathaniel Rateliff, The National, Queens of the Stone Age, Greta Van Fleet, Courtney Barnett, Lord Huron, Parquet Courts, Rival Sons, Waxahatchee, Cake, Fleet Foxes, Matt and Kim, Andrew W.K., Manchester Orchestra, Tenacious D, and several more this past weekend in Atlanta. Tons of great shows.

Halestorm and In This Moment will be at Stir Concert Cove on August 10th.

Judas Priest and Deep Purple will be at Stir September 21

Any big Indie fans in here? Hoping to see a concert here in Iowa at some point this year and would love to hear suggestions. Big fan of Arctic Monkeys, Blossoms, Tame Impala, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Young the Giant, etc. if that gives any guide as to what I might like.

Some great indie concerts coming up this summer/fall:

- This Friday - Lake Street Dive at Nitefall on the River
- Pixies in July at Hoyt Sherman
- Pretty much all of Hinterland lineup
- The Record Company at Wooly's late summer
- Shakey Graves at Nitefall on the River in September, Gov't Mule also
