Kids or Pets

Kids, dog, and constant parade of kids’ friends in the house eating all of our food.
Neither but the prospect of kids seems like a very stressful thing. I'm a light sleeper to begin with, haha.
Dogs and cats don’t require school, books, IPads etc. The choice is easy.
Have kids, have a brainless dog, a couple fish. Thinking it may be easier to get a new wife and start over.
Only pets, 3 dogs. Just lost one a couple weeks ago. House is still not same. She was here 10 years.
Three daughters, one foster son (though it looks like adoption will be a go before the Fall!), a dog I wanted, another dog and two cats I didn't. We also had a Guinea pig until last year.
People who don't have have pets usually envy those who do. Same with people who don't have kids. I have both a pet and kids. I envy those who don't have either.
No kids or pets. GF count? She is more of a handful than kids and pets combined.

I clean up after both, so both.
1 daughter, 2 boys. We had them to take care of the dog and 2 cats.
Plus you can just leave the pet at home alone while you go out and drink.
No idea why people would ever want kids.
Two boys of my own + 2 boys, 2 girls from our blended family. Over the time I've had kids in the house, we had 2, then 3, then 2 then 1 dogs. We have also had anywhere from 1 to 9 cats/kittens, but nearly always more than one cat. Kids are all gone, so are the dogs. Current cat count is at 6. Oldest is 15, so that number may go down in the next couple of years. Or not - we've had 2 cats live to 19 years old!
Kids & pets kind of go together, IMO. Speaking as a former kid myself, sometimes your dog is the only one that will listen to you...

Had pets growing up. Married with kids now and have no pets.
People will agree to watch your kids. Good luck finding someone to watch your pets. Flip side of that is that you can kennel a pet........but that is frowned upon for kids.

I lived with a girl who got a dog. I like you wasn't to enthused about it, after she got the dog for some reason the dog preferred me. When I moved out the dog came with me and now I can't imagine life without him.
My neighbors take our older dog when we vacation. We take theirs when they vacation. It's really going to suck when they move in a few years. They tend to give us booze for helping them. I tend to do their outdoor maintenance (or offer them the correct tool for doing such things) in return.
We've got a 7 year old dog and a 12 week old puppy. That's enough fun for now.
