Is Fran building a regional powerhouse or just calling Iowa fans idiots and morons?

......
Hell, I couldn’t even tell you if Prohm or Campbell are married let alone the names of their wives if they are.

All of Capt. Kirk's neighbors and their attorneys make sure we know what his wife's name is.....

We left it open for possible mid-years. That’s a thing everywhere except in Iowa City.

There are rules against that at Iowa. Fran is trying to fist fight with both arms tied behind his back. I feel bad for him.

Speaking of coaches' wives........

Anyone remember her name?
Is that Stacy Eustachy?

I have posted Margaret's name here before but I think I learned it when I heard about her getting thrown out of some Siena game or something. It was posted quite a bit when Pollard got thrown out of his son's high school game.

Beverly Floyd.
Cool. I just wanted to post the name. Stacy Eustachy. There, I did it again.

I never would have dredged up Beverly Floyd. Now that you say it, it rings a bell. There are two Cyclone former basketball "first ladies" who never put themselves in the limelight. Carol Hoiberg and McDermott's wife never did either. There is a reason most people in the state couldn't name them.

Using a quick Google search, McNeil asked for his release in mid-May.

Didnt ISU add Talley during the summer? Certainly there was another grad transfer out there looking that Prohm could have pursued instead of just letting that scholly sit idle.

Talley was signed July 20th, so yes our coach continued to try and add talent all summer. Especially since a player who signed a LOI asked for his release on May 19th.

Meanwhile, your coach has been sitting on his thumbs since May 26th with an open scholarship. Since he signed that new contract, he's really beating the bushes to find players, hasn't he? Is it now certain that Cook and Pemsl are both coming back and the great team chemistry that Iowa had last year, is still in tact? A lot of Cyclone fans are hoping it is.

The original point was that Shayok was a waste of a scholarship while sitting for a year, meanwhile Fran is holding a scholarship for no apparent reason. ...although now that I think about it, he's probably saving it for the other terrible Baer brother.

I remember when the 'Clones started playing really well under Floyd, and they would show Beverly in the stands - for good reason. She was smokin' hot in those days.

Nothing confirmed regarding Cook, Pemsl or Moss.

And Fran has never pursued a grad transfer in his entire time at Iowa so getting the new contract really doesnt apply here.

His in over his head kid will get to play.
Sounds like a great reason.

Guessing Iowa will offer and accept Locure sooner than later. Hearing they know Terry is a long shot and Carton isn't going to happen

Locure to Iowa has been my expectation since last fall and especially because they only have really appeared to be focused on Carton, Terry and him. Once the offer does come I fully expect him to commit quickly. I don't want to hate on Locure but his lack of other P5 offers are telling.
Hawk fans are already justifying offering him and buying into the "local Iowa HS" narrative. Fran will try to coach up another Mid-Major level PG and fans will eventually turn him due to his limitations once he is forced to play a major role. We have seen this act before in EIU.
