I don't feel like the best program in college football has to worry too much about "slowplaying kids" in case others leave.It’s not logical that Alabama was slowplaying Purdy as a backup option, so they wouldn’t commit to Purdy when Purdy asked? That seems perfectly logical and seems to happen quite frequently in college football.
You guys will do anything to paint ISU in a bad light, it's just sad. Trying to put down a kid offered by Alabama. Sometimes a school earns some negative publicity (Hohfer not knowing what a DM is, Barta extending Fran, Fran somehow still coaching), but Purdy didn't do anything to you... Yet here you are on a rival board trying to s*** on him and the program he chose.
Why would the best program in college football send out trash offers in the first place? Complete and total waste of their time and effort. It's not something they need to do to succeed.What other interpretation logically stems from that? You think Alabama really wanted him badly, but decided their chances would be better if they kept Purdy guessing as to whether he had a committable scholarship offer?
