A little before me. Velo may have caught a little of your time there.
Coincidentally, I often wore a red bandanna during VEISHEA, outdoor music events or sometimes during intramurals.
Very stylish

I just learned today that bandana can be spelled with 3 "n's" in it. This better differentiates the word between the fruit that Velo eats and the cloth that super-cool people like Oldman and myself used to wear.

Sounds like Alana (my middle daughter). She got a 35 on her ACT, and told me that she found organic chemistry "very interesting". Anyone who has ever taken organic chemistry knows that there are several descriptive words for it, none of which are "interesting".
It was one of my favorites...

How old does one have to be before they get smart enough to not pull food from the microwave and put it into one's mouth without allowing ample time for it to cool?

Is it something you figure out after you turn 50? I'm just trying to figure out how many more years of idiocy I have to endure.

asking for a friend ok, nevermind, it's me

Watching the end of Jeopardy.
Final topic: numeric groups.
Answer: This numeric group was the subject of an April 20, 1959 Time Magazine article titled "Rendezvous With Destiny".
20-something guess: seven samurai
Meh, not totally unexpected

50-60 something: crew of Apollo 11
40-50 something: Apollo 1

I wanted to throw a shoe through my TV...

Mercury 7?

EDIT: Who are the Mercury 7, Auntie?

In the truck today and heard the old EWF classic "That's The Way of the World". It reminded me of my ISU days (yes, I already know how old I am), which triggered several other memories:

- Those delightfully unhealthy cheeseburgers in the basement of the Union
- Blue books and finals in the JLMC building
- Watching Duane and Friend every noon in the TV room of the Union
- Hearing the hockey team practicing across the street in field outside Beyer Hall at 2AM (hearing pucks slamming off plywood made it hard to sleep)
- Lying on the grass in the sun out in front of Beardshear
- Walking down to the Hy-Vee on Sheldon Avenue and carrying 2 8-packs of RC Cola back to my apartment
- Songs like "December 1963" by the Four Seasons and "Rubberband Man" by the Spinners

Feel free to share yours, if you're so inclined.

This girl is somewhat the opposite of my son. Taller for a girl, my son is shorter, organized and prompt, my son is neither, cares about school work, my son fights it, is frugal (because of grades she is going with a free ride to a juco to save her folks money), I'm the only one is this house that is.

Don't take this the wrong way BC, sound like the boy is outkicking his coverage. NTTAWWT.
