Short bike ride last night. Wanted to get going earlier but that's the way it rolls with kids. Managed to get six miles in. Checked out the city's progress on taking down the ash trees by us. Looks like they got 10-12 down yesterday and have about that many left to do today.

I found out that the boy my daughter's been playing tennis with is a Mormon and goes to bible study before school every day. I'm perfectly OK with that.

So, is it better to be wife 1, gives seniority I'm getting from this. Has a leg up on the other three?

There used to be two HUGE ash trees across the street from our house. Although they are awesome trees - straight, strong, good shade, etc - I hated those little seeds. And these trees produced millions of these things....they were in my flower beds, up in the gutters, out in the lawn starting to grow, everywhere! The city cut them down two years ago. I was thankful, but I wish they had planted something else in their place.

FFA convention in town, buses full of blue coat wearing kids descended upon Target the same time I was there. One kid must have been going for mullet of the year, it was impressive.
Was mullet kid from Counciltucky? Was his dad a lawyer?

I may have been a little short-sighted in my thinking about this dude.

This girl is somewhat the opposite of my son. Taller for a girl, my son is shorter, organized and prompt, my son is neither, cares about school work, my son fights it, is frugal (because of grades she is going with a free ride to a juco to save her folks money), I'm the only one is this house that is.

You really are loading up the ammo for us for when your kids get older aren't you? :)

In related news look who is 7 months now! Also don't tell that other thread that she is using the same crib as her brother which was bought at Target which is where we got her dresser too. The chair she is in is an old La-Z-Boy that we got from my grandparents and put a cover from Amazon on.

Edit: The crib does have her brothers teeth marks on it near one corner.

Except for the juco thing, I'd swear your son is dating my daughter. Does your son go to bible study before school everyday?

If he does it's a whopping 30 seconds long. Kid leaves 8 minutes before he has to be in class and we are 1 1/2 miles away. He takes the backroad gravel for about a mile to save some time.

I only hope to see action like this out of my back door

There is a park across the street from my in-laws in Manchester, IA. The city has a couple coyote silhouettes staked out by the lake. They have been pretty effective in keeping the geese at bay (or would it be at lake)?
