My Pledge—No More Trolling

Yeahbuddy's new thread: "My Pledge—No More Trolling"

Sure hope karma doesn't bite you in the ass for being a pathetic liar.

Is this the new Hawkeye football thread? I’ll just drop this here. Unfortunately, it sounds like this will be Fant’s final year at Iowa, then it’s off to the NFL as a possible first round draft pick. Might be the best TE in college football.

Wow, crazy good numbers.

Him and Hockenson will be huge weapons at TE this season. I am actually really excited about the Iowa offense.

If they can find a decent WR or two they could be solid.

With those numbers Fant apparently has it'd be disappointing if he weren't a 700+ yard guy this year.

The key word is apparently. It wasn't that long ago Ryan Boyle supposedly crushed all those Iowa records too

Yes, from the sounds of Copeland's presser earlier this week it sounds like Easley has taken another step forward after a solid junior season.

If one of Smith or ISM can make a jump, the Iowa offense could be good.

Was Iowa's offense good last year? I remember you saying Brian did a good job last season

It was decent. I thought he did do a good job considering he had a first time starter at QB, not a lot to work with at WR and an OL that got pretty banged up as the season with on.

Not to mention Iowa played a Top 5 schedule last season.

Iowa with a "good" offense will win 8-10 games fairly regularly.

Iowa was 116th out of 129 teams in total offense...

Certainly could.

Easley to me just seems like a guy who is what he is. Not overly explosive but runs good routes and can move the chains.

I think you're right, if they are going to improve it will need to come from a bigger play WR.

We offered him a walk on spot. Take that for what it's worth

Pretty sure Iowa got him as a walk on last season and he is now on scholarship. I could be wrong on that but I dont think he was on scholly last season on Iowa.

I really only care if my offense scores points. You dont win any games by having the most yards.

66th in Scoring Offense, 1 full PPG behind ISU.

How was ISU's offense last season?

Yards don't matter? So Eaton and Easley are equals in your mind since they both had the same amount of TD's?

ISU's offense wasn't very good last year. If we didn't have Montgomery our run game would have been non existent. Our defense was really good last year though
