Only because of injury. I will concede JGJ maybe would have started the one game Daniels was out with injury in place of Reynolds.
But barring injuries, he would have had a tough time seeing the field beyond ST at Iowa until his junior season.

Good-Jones is a good interior lineman and is having a good start to his career at ISU. It is pointless to try and determine whether he would have seen the field at Iowa yet in his career. There is no right or wrong answer because the schools are running completely different systems and asking their lineman to do different things. No on knows if he would fit what Iowa does on the line and would have already seen the field but he fits what ISU does and that is all that matters.
Sean Welsh is a good interior OL but who knows if he even sniffs the field at Iowa State. We run a different system and our OL do different things

I am not so sure Good Jones would have played at Iowa until this year. Iowa is pretty well stocked at OL and the offer probalby did not come because we were full. Sorry but OL typically pick Iowa over ISU unless they are ISU legacy or fans of the school. This is due to the NFL success Iowa OL get. It could change but I am not upset Meeker or Good Jones start for ISU because Iowa has equal or better talent on their roster...
Now give me Monty vs our RBs and I will take Monty all day because he is a really good talent. Hopefully our young guys can develop into something like that.
The point is simple. Comparisons are not easy to do, but Cytwins fits his narrative into the ISU koolaid every single time and keeps that pumping because he is so focused on ISU.

It's funny Iowa fans were complaining about having to start two freshman tackles because lack of depth on the OL last year. Good Jones would have for sure played for Iowa last year, same as Meeker. Both are better than Reynolds who played every game and Good Jones is for sure better than Render
I'm going to go ahead and pledge here and now that there will be no more trolling from me.
Well the ISU staff offered Render and wanted him to play at their school so it could have just been as easy for him to play instead of Good Jones. It is just logical.
Reynolds was a late offer in the 2014 class
In 2015 when Meeker and GJ were being recruited ISU offered all of the same prospects as Iowa. Iowa got who they wanted and Meeker and GJ chose ISU instead..... Iowa got 5 OL that year from Iowa so taking 7 would have been stupid.
