No troll here, just a guy that is board and it is the offseason. I will eat my words on Iowa basketball if you check my posting on that. My god was that terrible. I just do not think CyTwins is as smart as he thinks he is. Clever yes, but smart idk.

Saying Iowa DL is not as good as Lima and whoever else is pretty dense. Mind boggling actually. Some ISU fans feel the same way too. That is what "urked me" mostly because it was way off base. And the fact that leadership is gone from the offense and defense for ISU is a bigger deal than is being let on here. Lanning was a stud leader. Lazard was also. Who is going to be THAT GUY... the go to guy when you are in close games and needing to find someone to step up... Lanning and Lazard were those guys last year. Monty might be, but he has a full year of wear and tear on him and that is typically hard for a RB to replicate.

I told you who the leaders will be. Montgomery, Peavy, Kempt, jJGJ, etc.

Peavy is a returning captain & 3 year starter.

Wouldn't at all surprise me to see guys like Marcel Spears & Willie Harvey become more vocal as leaders this year as well.

Yeah I don't understand the "losing leaders" stuff. Beathard was a great leader and good player, played a few games in his rookie NFL season. Everyone thought Iowa was up a creek at QB, and Stanley goes out and throws for 26 TD's and 6 INT. My point is college teams get new leaders every year. Some are better than others, but if the coach is getting players who fit into the program, new leaders emerge every year. Jewell was a great leader. New ones will emerge on defense. Same on offense.

Hesse, Anthony Nelson, Matt Nelson, Hooker, Gervase are some candidates on defense due to having been in the program for at least 2 years and playing at least semi-well at a minimum. Offense numerous candidates led by the QB. Who else emerges I don't know.

Who would have guessed Stanley could be middle of the pack in terms of QB rating for CFB which didn't include all his fumbles!

Yet, when it comes to the DL position, statistics show Iowa has multiple linemen that are much, much better than Lima. It’s quite clear who the troll is here, Twins.

Stanley has a stronger arm but Kempt is more talented. For some odd reason Iowa fans think overthrowing open receivers is more impressive than putting it where only your receivers can get it

He honestly is a lot like a less mobile Steele Jantz. Big arm but wildly inaccurate and has a hard time holding onto the football. Arnuad was more accurate than Stanley

Agreed if we would have had a safety deep in the Iowa game, we could have picked off 3-4of his consistent overthrows.
