Anyone know why our south end zone is whited out on google maps?

Is there some kind of military installation under there that we don't know about?

LOL...nice.

Typically these images are quite old, mostly in the smaller areas like Ames, etc. And they can be months/years old.

Can anyone tell when this images was taken?

As far as why it's whited out...I have no idea.

I noticed that a few months ago but thought it was glare from the sun hitting the metal bleachers, but that wouldn't be it.

Could it be that Jimmy Hoffa was actually buried in the south end zone of The Jack and not in the end zone of the 'Meadowlands'????

I smell a cover up with the whited out google maps....

I think the first picture given was summer 2005. I judged this by the progress of construction sites around campus and matching it to summer of 2005 when I was working for facilities.

Is the field always painted? I'm guessing it was during the winter of 2004, and the field wasn't painted. If you look around central Iowa you can find snow on the ground in some places

I heard that when they re-did Soldier field, they wanted to move the labs out. With ISU being so close and a leader in new tech. it was the only logical choice. Keep an eye out for the ghost of Einstein

Well, all four of Towers are still standing, so it's gotta be over a year old, but the practice facility is there, so it's fairly recent.

As for the censorship....I always did think that an aerial view of JTS vaugely resembed a certain piece of anatomy. :laugh8kb:

It is is more than two years old because the middle school is still under construction. My son was in the first 7th grade class at the middle school two years ago. Also our church has undergone some construction and it is not even started in these images so that puts it in the 3-4 years ago range.
