Iowa Football Recruiting

Yeah like I said you couldn't care less. Iowa players/alums love Doyle. Sorry if it hurts.

Sorry you just don't make sense pal. Just go on believing what you will. If you can't admit that Doyle put these players lives at risk, and not only that, but you are happy he does it because the guys who don't get rhabdo go on to the NFL and it so it makes other recruits want to go there, I just don't know what I can say anymore.

Of course you would. Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker. You're in a dream world buddy.

Because in an Iowa fans' mind, there is physically no possible way for any ISU player to run over an almighty Hawkeye player, even with video evidence. As I've said, go on living your life blinded by your love for everything Hawkeye, and ignore the truth.

As I've done at least twice just tonight, I have no problem with admitting when an Iowa player makes an amazing play that makes the ISU players look silly, but I don't live my life completely blinded by everything Cyclone, and I'm glad I don't. I love my alma mater to death, and always will, but not to where I can't even see the truth right in front of me anymore.

Sure you do. You can keep trying to score cheap message board rivalry points while pretending to care about what happened. You love that those kids had to deal with that because you hate Iowa. It's just the truth. But keep on faking that compassion. It's also the truth that an overwhelming majority of former Iowa players came out praising Doyle and KF. So those guys don't know what they're talking about? Right.

Hahaha. Just post the video pal. It's plain as day.

You truly are sick. I feel for you. As I've said before, you don't know me or what I've been through or experienced in my life to say I don't care about what these players were going through in the hospital. Doyle should have known the risks involved with his training methods, and if he didn't, he shouldn't be in that line of work. And if he did know the risks, and did it anyway, he should have been fired at minimum. Football success is not greater than peoples lives.... period.

But go ahead and judge me if that's what makes you feel better. Go Hawks, am I right?

Ok.... the almighty Hawkeye Josey Jewell stopped David Montgomery in his tracks and had him stopped all by himself until more Cyclone players could come along and help drive Montgomery through the almighty Hawkeye Josey Jewell who could never be ran over by anyone, much less a stupid little Cyclone player.

There. Is that better? Will it help you sleep tonight? Does that justify your worship of Josey Jewell and everything Hawkeye to your satisfaction, or do I have to embellish it a bit more for you?

Geez the Hawkeye fans in here look pathetic. Wadley made Lanning look silly that game and Montgomery did the same to Jewell. It doesn't take away the fact that both were All American LBs and both were great representatives of their Universities

No I'm not going to cheapen the seriousness of it the way you are. You don't care about those players. You like that it happened. You like that it happened because it made Iowa look bad. You know it's the truth.

I take serious offense to your accusation here. I definitely did care about the well being of those players. For you to say I didn't is blatantly false and shameful. And no, I surely didn't "like that it happened". You're sick. You don't even know me.

These are human beings we're talking about. People's lives. I cared about them getting through this like you will never know (and I'm not going to explain why on the internet to people I don't even know).

I admit I don't know all the details, but I didn't care for how Doyle and KF appeared to have handled it initially either. It didn't seem as they knew the "seriousness" of it either.

According to a quick google search, there is about 26,000 rhabdo cases per year. So there has been roughly 150,000 cases of rhabdo since it happened to the Iowa football team. How many of those 150,000 left you as outraged as the Iowa football teams cases?

Im going to guess zero.

Thats a sad, pathetic troll attempt.

I think it is bad when any athletes lives or health are endangered by those that are supposed to be looking out for them. There was a female rower that was the in the worst shape I believe, not sure who oversaw her workout so it may have been university wide. I’m glad they have went away from the work outs that lead to this.

What bothers me the most out of the situation, was ferentz starting a new assistant COY award and giving it to Doyle that year. A situation that would have cost most guys their jobs, gets rewarded by the HC. Could not have been handled worse by Ferentz IMO and the thought that he tried to sweep it under the rug is what bothers me.

Yeah that was an unfair shot. I apologize.

I think I saw the youtube video of the play you all are talking about. I do see Eaton coming in, but I also see #30 for Iowa right behind Jewell when he makes the stop then at least two other Iowa players that came in on the play from the side and behind Montgomery. Hard to tell if Eaton had that much of an impact on Jewell getting run over by Montgomery because to me it looks like there is some separation between Eaton and Montgomery as they were falling (an Eaton only had about a step or two to take before he became part of the pile. Either way, not worth arguing about. Montgomery was tripped up about five yards from the paly and was not going full steam, Jewell was on his knees

Say what?

Lanning and Jewell were both All Americans and both got owned at times in that game
