Of course he will. If he doesn't, wow.
I'm not understanding this angle at all but OK

No angle. We all think AL gets drafted earlier than JJ. As he should as a 4* top-10 WR recruit. If he didn't it would be a pretty crazy statement to player development. But that won't happen.
This is pretty bad. Think how much Iowa's player development must suck because full scholarship player Josey Jewell will get drafted way behind a walk on like Mayfield! You're better than this
Sure. An ISU freshman RB trucking Iowa's All Everything senior LB. It would never get old.
Josey definitely a character guy. Agree there. Go ahead and post the vid. I'll show you.
So first of all, Montgomery gets his facemask grabbed which jerked his head back to the side and slowed his momentum, but he brushed that off, then trucks into Jewell at about the 2 yd line, along with #30 for Iowa too. So Montgomery against Jewell and #30. Then #94 for Iowa comes along too, and is grabbing Montgomery from behind as well. So now it's Montgomery against 3 Hawks (one being the All American LB). But Montgomery still has the pile moving forward somehow, when Matt Eaton comes along and does give him a little shove in the back just to make sure he would get in.
That's what REALLY happened.

Montgomery wasn’t a freshman last season.
This is the **** that Clone fans love to lob at Hawk fans. Don’t know the grade of the starting RB? Obvious Tavern Clone is obvious.
You are correct, my bad on that. I can't believe he's been here 2 years already. Still a LOT less time than Josey has been at Iowa though. More time to get better.
See, I can admit when I'm wrong, unlike Iowa fans. They can't even admit when their Strength and Conditioning coach, along with their Head Coach, put their players lives in danger with the Rhabdo thing.
Haha. I thought you were watching the video on a loop or something. Post it. It's pretty clear what happened.
Montgomery is a hell of a back though, we all agree on that.
Interesting pivot.
I was re-watching the video just now, you're right. I wrote down exactly what I was seeing frame by frame. I really love the frame where Montgomery has Jewell, #30, and #94 on him. That one is priceless. And he still is moving the pile forward, yet Eaton comes in, as he should, and gives him a little help from behind. Looks to me like it wasn't going to be needed at all though, but Eaton was doing exactly what he should.
What's wrong with pivoting when you know you're wrong. I didn't have Montgomery's year at ISU correct and admitted it. Will you admit that KF and Doyle put their players lives at risk with the Rhabdo thing, or will you keep denying it? Maybe you should pivot on that one?
Priceless.
Yep. An ISU RB going up against an Iowa LB, Safety, and DE.... pushing the pile forward anyway.... gets a little help from a long, lean WR. All 3 Iowa guys each weigh more than Montgomery and Eaton do.
Had it just been Montgomery against Jewell and #30, it wouldn't have even been a contest. #94 comes in and it gets more interesting, but David still is going to score. Could you imagine if it had just been Montgomery against Jewell one on one. Yikes.
The rhabdo thing was serious stuff. I'm not going to trivialize it. Happy that everyone ended up ok.
Love it.
So you're still in denial then. Got it. You won't admit they put their lives in danger. You'll only say it was "serious".
But this is how Iowa gets their players all "huge" and into the NFL. Nice.
You should. It was a GREAT play made by a GREAT player, that once again you can't even admit what happened when it's clear as day on video what happened. Jewell even admitted it after the game.
