Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

More to come I assume.

Possibly. The TCU game this year was because we let them show our game last year on a Fox Sports channel. I could see us maybe doing a Cyclones.TV/Longhorn network exchange with Texas at some point but I don't think they will be a regular thing.

Like Wisconsin, the in-state Hawkeyes are a big player in Carton's recruitment. A strong relationship with Fran McCaffery, as well as 2018 signee Joe Wieskamp and 2019 commit Patrick McCaffery, are also working in Iowa's favor.

"I have a lot of people at my school who are big Iowa fans, so there's a draw to stay home," Carton said. "I've kind of been watching them growing up - not as a fan, but just watching them a lot. It would mean something to rep your home state and I feel like I have a strong relationship with coach McCaffery and his staff, just like I do with Wisconsin. It's a similar relationship.

"I've known them (Wieskamp and McCaffery) since I was in fifth grade and I've talked to them a lot. They are some of my good friends and we get along very well. So that's something that I do think about."

There is other smoke on a pay board from today that Iowa is in good shape with Carton.
