For a minute I thought that was George Raveling, but then I noticed no warm-up suit.
Someone from tech support just called me and let me know they accidentally just whacked a production system. Basically pulled the plug.
Highlights of the day. Sitting in a meeting with 15 people and a couple of people on the phone. One of the people on the phone never muted and burped into his phone at one point. Ten minutes later he just starts talking to someone that walked into his cube.
LittleWx is going to Riverside tonight with my in-laws so he just Facetimed me at work. Talked for a minute and then unprompted walked down the hall so his sister could see me.

It really makes no difference to me, I'm not in charge of operations. I just always find it hard to believe when someone pulls a major gaff.
She logged into HMC here instead of the one in New Jersey.
The closest I can remember to me doing something like that was when I was handed a change record to shut down a system at 9pm. I issued the command at 9pm and the date jumped off the page and I realized they gave me something for Sunday night instead of Saturday night. Some real quick thinking on my part and no one was the wiser.

Just saw a job ad for one of my dream schools.
Two openings, focused on teaching. Place is across the street from a major research library. I know because I ate at this school's cafeteria every day while doing 4 days of research at this library.
But all for specializations that aren't me. Shoot.

Update from LittleWx with my in laws. When they went to dinner last night he stood up and said that he forgot his wallet. This morning he woke up and proclaimed that it was morning time (very common experience). When my FIL didn't wake up he walked over and opened the curtains.
I am now whistling and happily singing, "Life's a piece of sh*t, when you look at it."
Once Bitten is one of the best. Full of golden references and quips. A Flintstones reference, a Star Wars reference, a It's a Wonderful Life reference, a themed homage to Heaven Can Wait and a short visual tribute to Pulp Fiction. Winning.
Some of the cool witty stuff that has seemingly been lost the last few seasons.

I believe that episode also has a "The Natural" reference. Definitely a great episode.
Based on what I do now, not sure why I didn't have this as a kid. If it played current catch phrases such as "let's unpack that" "stick a pin in that" "collaborative" and "innovative" it would be perfect.
Well, drove from SA to home yesterday. Left at 9 and got home at 4:30 this morn. If we could have avoided outlet malls and that Waco magnolia place I could have shaved several hours off.
Did see a billboard in KC(Kansas side) that had someone that looked like a young Aaron Carter that proclaimed, I am Lawman. First thought was old Lawman had really changed.
