Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

I think you only need to play 8 guys to be successful but it's hard to narrow it down to 8 guys when you're combining 1 1/2 P5 programs. I gave you my starting lineup and rotation so it can be bumped whenever so I'm curious to see yours

Half?

Bad mid-major.

Bohannon would not start. Jesus dude do you not realize how bad he is on defense? He's a sharp shooter off the bench on a good team

You'll see when they switch to the Cuse zone next year. Athletic spiders all over the joint. Plus everybody knows Shayok got minutes at UVA because that was a bad team in a soft conference.

So just to clarify @YeahBuddy you think Jordan Bohannon is a better overall basketball player than Marial Shayok?

I guarantee he does. He thinks Shayok was a big whiff on the transfer market since we only beat out Liberty for his services combined with him losing minutes at Virginia.

I can't wait to bump this where @YeahBuddy said Bohannon is better than Shayok lol
He'll likely just alter his argument by comparing stats to how JorBo does next year compared to Shayoks junior year at Virginia. Likely completely ignoring the style of play of Iowa and Virginia to make them look as comparable as possible or tilt the scale in favor of Bohannon.

Why do you care how people spend their time? What's the point of coming in here every few weeks to question posters if they have jobs or that they should be more productive with their time?
Defensive...I'm hiring.

Not in the slightest. It just seems weird you poke your head in the rivalry threads to let posters know what they should and shouldn't be doing.
I participate sometimes. Just not to the point of being weird. This **** is weird.

Did you watch ISU basketball at all once he became a starter? He was pretty solid on defense even though losing Young really hurt our defense overall

He played stronger competition and increased his numbers due to increased minutes without losing efficiency but you still think he is pretty bad? Lol

I don't know who you're quoting--admittedly I blocked a few members of Hawkdom last year. It was just too much to bear. 'It' being all the hype around players like the Baer kid.

But I'm assuming it's something to do with how some Hok player averaged some points, and those points are more per minute than Young or Talley, and so that means ISU's players that have more roles than scoring aren't playing very well.

Gotta have Prohm coaching the team. He did more with less this year. Fran just blows ups all the time, even in interviews. Fran couldn't find a decent starting line up, so ended up with his famous "rotation". Plus Fran is just in for the money with the "iron clad" contract Barta gave him under the radar. Have a hunch if Fran does not get them to the dance this next year, Barta better get his resume updated also.

Fran's not going anywhere with his new buyout

Sure about that?

@CyTwins stated ISU had 6 of the top 7 players between the 2 squads last season but ISU and Iowa were similarly ranked in several metrics with Iowa being better according to Sagarin.
