Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

Well we'd better just concede now to the team so good they just about beat a Final 4 team and no doubt will be no less than Elite 8 team from now on. Heard on the way to work that entitled kid #1 got a medical hardship waiver and now has 4 years to play for the team that just about beat a Final 4 team giving Franny an extra year to develop entitled #1 into a NBA dominator...

Oh wait, nevermind........

So what are your thoughts on Bohannon if he reaches these numbers?

Based on your Talley logic....best PG in the last 30 years of college basketball?

Bohannon - Great shooter, overall very good offensive player, one of the worst defensive guards on a P5 roster. Really good on one end of the floor + absolute hot garbage on the other end = mediocre player

Talley - terrible 3p shooter, plus ball handler and passer, good at penetrating and scoring in the lane or driving and dishing. Destroyed the WVU press in Ames. versatile defender and rebounder. Overall average P5 player.

Overall I think both are pretty average P5 players, albeit quite different. Lucky for us it's basketball and not a game of HORSE, and we are counting on Talley for solid minutes as a guy off the bench, not as a focal point of the team.

One of your fellow Hawkeye fans said Zoran Talley and Solomon Young were pretty bad this year. Just wanted to know if you agreed or not

I think if Young sticks to his role, he can be very good for the team. He's not really a creator, but has a skill set where he can get some points.

His defense was sorely missed the last few games.
