I think he has a decent point,
@CyTwins, that Talley's boost in numbers mostly came from boost in playing time, not any real increase in efficiency.
I think you have a good argument back, though, that (1.) Talley was facing really good teams, (2.) Talley was a plus defender on a bad defensive team, which does not always show up in a box score, (3.) maintaining your efficiency while scaling up like that is generally a good sign, and (4.) his efficiency metrics are okay/good, projecting as a good Big 12 bench player, which is exactly what we will need him to be next season. He met those expectations.
If Talley is your 6th or 7th man, you have a good squad.
If he is starting with major minutes, you are in trouble, but that will not be the case again. He will be situational where you need length and a handle, which is great.
Where would he be in Iowa's rotation next year (without Cook), for comparison?
