Walking Dead

Haven't watched at all in March, think I'm done with the show, have I missed anything since Carl died?

This pretty much summed up the episode for me. I was floored that everyone was still sleeping through the zombie feeding and no victims shouted/screamed/banged into things to wake up others. That was a big writing mistake.
-I'm a pretty light sleeper anyway but I think I would wake up to a mouse fart after a zombie apocalypse.
-Maggie should just go by "The Widow" from now on because it sounds way bad ass.
-Overall I've been entertained by the last few episodes.

That little kid was annoying as ****. Hopefully Morgan does better on FTWD. Is it bad that I now like FTWD better than TWD? I mean, I still watch TWD, but I'm way more pumped for the season premiere of Fear.

I want to know who the cowboy dude in the preview is...

Not bad at all. FTWD's last season was better than the last 3 from TWD.

And theyre probably going to ruin it with a time jump to shoehorn in morgan.

I'm wondering the same thing. Also wondering where Daniel Salazar is, as they do not show him in the trailer. I thought he survived the finale? I think FTWD actually has storylines that seem to move it forward, as opposed to TWD which has gotten incredibly stale.

Didn't notice Salazar was missing. Good catch!

Just caught up from last night. This is why I’m frustrated with the show. They have a great angle to take - “why are people turning differently and how the survivors react” storyline.

Instead we literally get Simon and the Saviors walking up to 9 open windows, getting open fired on, and somehow escaping after semi automatic gunfire coming at them from 10 feet away. JFC.

This over the top, superhero move faux-action BS is annoying. The show used to be so much better than that...

Yeah, the amount of times most of these characters should have been completely toast is too damn high.

The writing for the zombie attacks, the crowd of saviors walking up to the house in the open and the dumb kid really drove me nuts last night. Come on...

The zombie attack where no one woke up was bad and that dumb kid was annoying AF.

I remember watching them walking to that open field and I was like "why would you walk out there as a single group giving them an easy target out in the open?" That is a long way from the Saviors at the end of season 6, who seem to have better organization in guiding Rick's group into their trap in the woods. Apparently they just got 1000x times dumber in just under two seasons.

@cycloneworld this article is for you. I completely agree with what you are saying. This show has gone down hill fast.

Yes! All of this. The ratings decline is so self-inflicted - its frustrating.

I've said it many times in this thread but the reason I and many others got hooked on this show was how our group of survivors have interacted, grown, survived, adapted, created new communities, etc, etc. Not how many repeated gunfights (when ammo is at a premium...) they can have without putting a bullet hole in a car, breaking any glass, or hitting any opponent that's 10 feet in front of them.

The writing and the "action" is so comically bad I just can't get over it.
