Iowa is the Brave Sir Robin of basketball- they nearly defeated Michigan, just like they nearly (but did not ) defeat every NCAA or NIT tourney qualifying team they played.

I'm sure if you looked back a few years you can find a time when ISU beat the national champ during the season. Iowa too for that matter. It is laughable that anyone would pick out one game in a whole season of complete failure and point to it as a sure sign of future success for a team. ISU hung with KU in Lawrence this year, so.... not going there.
