First I don't think the staff will pursue a PG to play next year (no grad transferJuCo) this year, rather a sit out or prep who would be developed to play the year after.
We have to remember NWB is a senior and it is realistic LW could leave after next year.
I really like Tyrese but having him as the only option next year to play point isn't ideal.

If LW wants to go pro, he will need to learn how to be a point guard. I do agree with you. For some reason I though Tucker was a PG (Not sure why) but I see maybe we do need a young PG on the roster. A sit out transfer would be perfect.

I think we saw a glimpse this season of Lewis being that guy. I think he will be a great sharp shooter for us the next few years

I prefer to get a guy who could both shoot and handle the ball. Position versatility seems to be an theme with the recent recruits. As State43 mentioned Lewis may be that guy next year, Horton-Tucker can shoot from all levels and will add spacing.

Im talking a Tyrus Mcgee type guy. Just a guy who catches it and launches it. Mcgee could handle the ball a little bit but he was mostly a 3 point bomb guy. I think we are missing one of those guys. Lewis has a possible chance to be that guy. We shall see.

Oklahoma State took Kendall Smith from Cal St. Northridge (finished 284 in KenPom his final year) and he averaged 16.7, 4 & 5. Usage 25.4, PER 19.6. In comparison High Point finished 238 in KenPom this year with Fox averaging 15.7 points & 4.8 rebounds. Usage 27.1, PER 22.6.

Fox had much better shooting numbers but obviously Smith is more of a point guard where as Fox is better off the ball it appears. Another caveat being Smith was a grad transfer and Fox you would have to invest 2 years in to get 1 year of court time. Worked out for Ok State in this case, just saying.

Smith was originally at UNLV, and was a four-star, top-100 high school recruit by at least one service. Preseason Mountain West Freshman of the Year.

Tyrus was special though. You just don't see guys like that very often.
