They spent the entire first half on him. I've just heard about Trae Young and how wonderful he is just a little too much this year. IMO Oklahoma shouldn't even be playing today...
Damn it too bad RI missed that tip in. Afraid the momentum is tipping OU's way.

They shouldn't, but they are.
With the single-minded focus OU has on spotlighting Trae, the announcers will know this stuff, and know that most fans only know one name on the court. If they're going to keep people's attention (until this game got good), they have to focus on that.
Don't overestimate the viewing audience. These guys have to talk in a way that speaks to an audience that only know maybe one guy, and he happens to function as their whole team.
Really not something a person can complain about in this one.
Oh, I didn’t intend to push Iowa any further. I do think it would be a fun little rivalry up here though. Pretty sure both have a pretty large alumni population here, and our gamewatch locations are like a half a block from each other.
This is why - IMHO - Oklahoma stumbled to the finish. I think his teammates felt very overlooked and underappreciated.
Have you considered the possibility that the viewers only know one name because that's the only one they've heard?
@wxman1 Can't remember if I saw you post on a thread once about phones, there was a certain website where you could buy used/like new phones IIRC. Need to upgrade my downgraded phone (mine bricked last May). And I have a feeling as soon as I get a new one, daughter's phone will crap as well. She is fine with what she has, but is having storage issues on her iPhone 5S.
Great job Rhode Island! I had gone back and forth on who to pick in a friend pool and chose wrong, but that was still a great game.
Also, fun fact: both the Oklahoma fight song and the Rhode Island fight song use the "I'm ____ born and _____ dead and when I do I'll be ______ dead" format. But nothing can beat Oklahoma for annoying fight songs

Sure, but have you considered how shallow most viewers are?
Most of us here are watching a lot more of this sport than the normal viewer. Trae is the entry point for the casual fans watching this game.
And he's gone, so we can both be happy.

Also, whoever complained in whatever thread about the camera angle in the Gonzaga-Greensboro game, holy cow, it is awful. Like leaning over a balcony way too high off the ground.
I'm just wondering how many shoes KC wound up throwing at the tv? Does she have any left?

Watching Greensboro gives me a "cool story, bro" moment.
When I was wrapping up my M.A. here, my adviser mentioned looking around for higher-ranking PhD programs,because she pushes and prods people that way (and successfully).
UNCG has a PhD in History, a fairly new program, but it gets you access to all of the UNC system libraries, archival materials, and every other academic resource. One of their profs noted a specialty in abolition, so we thought, "Hey, let's fire this one off."
Pretty sure I set a record for speedy rejection. It was either the day after they received my stuff or two days after that I had the e-mail saying "Check here for the decision status of your application," which only ever means one thing.

KC doesn't wear shoes. She's retired. We are either barefoot or wearing house slippers.
When summer gets here we might wear the Pants "slippahs", aka sandals or flip flops.
She hasn't been retired as long as you, Boxster...
