Why? Because he played at UNI and his father is the head coach? Not surprising to find a "local" P5 program to be a GA at. Coaching runs in his family.

Even though I live in California, I have a classic car at my brothers, and still insure it with his uncle Scott Houg in Waukon.

No doubt Farley has good coaching genes. But what is surprising in that this is not an 'in the family' hire, certainly emphasized in all of the recent moves. If there was no interest by former Cyclone or Toledo players, then no big deal.
