Historically, which KU player did you hate the most?

It stands to reason that KU is the most hated team in Big XII basketball. But who would be the most hated player of all time on the most hated team in the Big 8/Big XII?

Danny Manning, Jacque Vaughn, Jeff Boschee?
All of them is the correct answer.
Aaron Miles is a special kind of loser- he should have had to spend 5 minutes locked in a room with Homan after that gutless punch from behind. Then again, so is Sharon Collins and then again, so is Scott Pollard. I could do this all day- may they all end up unhappy and miserable

Jerod Haase is the answer. The ridiculous sweating, diving for balls he had no chance for just for show, the god damn knee pads, and those awful bangs. It was no coincidence he was the coach at UAB.

Tie - Hinrich and Collison because they should have gone to ISU and were good enough to make us a contender.

ps I don't hate KU, Williams yes, KU no. Self is a decent guy.

ISU was a contender and winner while those two were at KU.

Never understood the hate for players going to other schools.

KU was historically better than ISU, that's likely why they went there.

Hinrich's change was tough but that's more on Floyd isn't it? And Tinsley was a great trade ff.
What’s not to understand?

Jacque.

I didn't realize he has been the coach at Stanford for the past two seasons. As if I need ANOTHER reason to hate them. I had to look him up cuz I wasn't recalling what he looked like as a player. He's just as doofy now as he was back then. Check that - he's doofier. Is that a word?... o_O

Why do so many of you expect in state players to just automatically go to ISU?
I know hundreds of Cyclone fans and I don't know a single one who thinks this way. Not a single one. After Lazard committed in football, there was still not a single person who thought or believed he would come to ISU. After the HB to UNC Skype thing, I don't think there is a Cyclone fan alive who will ever expect an in state kid to attend ISU ever again, no matter how good we are.

Honestly, who thinks that way and where would you get the idea that a Cyclone fan thinks this way.

Just for the sake of the thread, KU still sucks too

Maybe I should have asked why people still hold a grudge against an in state athlete who went elsewhere. I do know plenty of Iowa State fans who constantly expect the sky to fall like the fans you mentioned but there are just as many realistic if not overly optimistic fans. Iowa State may never land a top in state basketball player ever again but that is a really pessimistic and irrational way of thinking. I mean I'm pretty negative but reading your post makes me feel like Mary ******* Poppins.

Never understood fans who make excuses for in-state players going to KU. To each their own.

How is it an excuse?

If one program is a blue blood and one is just decent, usually the best players pick the blue blood, correct?

I want Mangino to use his personal KU bathroom and wipe using the dental floss method with a towell and throw it on Drew Gooden's face....just like the Sumo locker room scene with Austin Powers in Goldmember. Then Marian Washington can fart in his hot tub like Hallota Fagina did in International Man of Mystery.

When I read the title, I thought, "this will be easy". Then I started to think about players from the past. The first few popped into my head were Sutherland from Missouri, Boddicker from UT, David Little from OU, Ryan Minor from OU, Muoneke from UT...no one from KU came up. I'm trying to remember the name of one KU player. He started at UT, but then transferred to KU. He gets my vote.

Aaron Miles
Elijah Johnson
Jeff Withey
Sherron Collins
Mario Chalmers
Joel Embiid
Ben McLemore
That scrub bench player mocking Chris Babb

Really there are just too many to list.

I never hated Embiid. He had his coming out party against us which sucked but you knew at that point he was a special talent
